Introduction The Union Government has launched Sampoorna Bima Gram (SBG) Yojana and expanded coverage of Postal Life Insurance (PLI) It is done in a bid to provide affordable life insurance services to people particularly those living in rural areas. With expnasion, PLI will now cover professionals also apart from government employees. Central Government launches SAMPOORNA BIMA GRAM YOJANA
Purpose To expand the clientele base of Postal Life Insurance (PLI) by providing affordable life insurance services to the rural people. This scheme will bring all villages under the Saansad Aadarsh Gram Yojana within its ambit. Two significant steps towards insuring lives and assuring happiness . At least one village that has minimum 100 Pestal Life lesurance households will be identified in each of the districts of 0 the country and effort will be made to cover all PLI households of such identified village with a minimum of one RPLI (Rural Postal Life Insurance) policy each.
Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojan:a (SAANJHI) It was launched for the development of model villages. Saansad Adarsh Under it, Members of Parliament (MPs) will be responsible for developing the socio-economic and physical infrastructure of three villages each by 2019, and a total of eight villages each by 2024 Funds will be utilized from existing schemes such as MPLAD, NGNREGA etc. Gram Yojana
