hey tanzia, in last question if we combine statement 1 & 2 , it is D who finushes last as let t be time taken by B to cover 110 m than in same time C covers 35m while D covers only 20 m.please let me know whether my solution is correct.thanks.

Thanks Shardul for your feedback I appreciate your efforts . No we cannot consider in that way because it's a race and individual speed varies and you are coming to conclusion based on distance.Let's say even If we combine the two statements where B is able to cover 110 m and C is 35m (75m -35m based on your calculation) and D is 20m ( if I m assuming from your values I.e. (50 - 30m ) ) . Based on above readings your assumptions is D should be last then also I would still suggest it cannot be determined because C can also be last . Speed can vary if in question if they have given clearly that all are in constant speed and taking t as time then easily we could have judged D should be last but since they have not given both are not sufficient to answer and additional data is necessary. Keep learning and all the best.
