Swami Sahajanand Saraswati set up Kisan Assembly/Sabha on 4th March, 1928. Other associated persons were Karyanand Sharma(Barahiya, Lakhisarai), Rahul Sanskritayan (Annawari), Panchanan Sharma, Yadunandan Sharma (Reora, Gaya), etc. In November during the Sonepur Fair (festival), Provincial Kisan Sabha was set up in November 1929 and Swami Sahajanand Saraswati was made president of it. In 1935, a proposal to eliminate landlordism was passed by provincial Kisan Sabha. Karyanand Sharma played a significant role in Barahiya Tal farmer's movement against Landlords in 1936. He also became the president of Provincial Kisan Sabha in Darbhanga Meeting in 1938. Shayamnand Singh also led peasantry-com-labour movement in Saran with Sahajanand Saraswati.
Rahul Sanskritayan pioneered Kisan Movement in Annawari. Yadunandan Sharma led kisan movement from Reora in Gaya. . Swami Sahajanand Saraswati was made president of All India Kisan Sabha set up in 1936. He became the first president of it and N G Ranga of A.P. was made General Secretary to the Sabha Set up of United Political Party in September 1932 to suppres:s the peasant uprising.
