IFC came out with masala bonds..but the "public financing" part was something which is wrong..marked it (A) only..didn't expect both 1 and 2 to be the answer..

Hey! Your answer is right . There is a difference between ifc masala bonds and only masala bonds. Ifc ones are used for private investment only. You can cross check. Hope it helps! Thank you.

sir are there any couses that cover GS paper 1 2 3 4 for Mains.
I just want to give my two cents regarding the IFC masala bonds. I agree with Roman contrary to what the coaching centres have stated. The question is specifically about "IFC's Masala Bonds" and not Masala bonds in general. Masala bonds may be used for financing both private and public sector. However, IFC's masala bonds are only for private sector. Hence, answer is a. Also, its too small an issue of whether it is a part of world Bank or World Bank group. It is like saying washington dc is the capital of United States of America, not United States. Both mean the same thing.

With all humility, I would like to say that the WBG clearly states that IBRD and IDA make up WB.

I stand corrected (and humbled). Then the option would be d - both statements 1 and 2 are wrong.
