Sind can be defined as a division of administration of the Umayyad Caliphate and behind the time of the Abbasid Caliphate after classical India, from about 711 CE with the Sind conquest by the commander of the military of Arab Muhammad ibn Qasim, to about 854 CE with the disclosure of the dynasties which were independent of the Multan Emirate and the Habbarid Emirate. The Governor of the Sind was a legal officer who controlled the province of Caliphates over what is now known as the Sindh of Pakistan. 

The Governor of the Sind was the major official of Muslims in the province and was accountable for looking after the region’s security. Being the leader of the province’s military, the Governor was also chief of commanding of carrying out crusades against the non-Muslim kingdoms established in the nation, India. The designated governors were recruited either straightforwardly by the Caliph or a legal subordinate. They endured in the office until they were diminished or died.

The rise of Islam took place in India with the Sind conquest, sole of the provinces of the currency day Pakistan and sole of the oldest civilizations of the Indus Valley, by the Arabs. The Arabs were the first Muslims to conquer the country’s territories, India. The Arabs gained both political and religious unity in India by spreading Islam, and this was just the starting of the Muslim dominance in the country India. 

The Sind conquest was a major success after numerous various attempts. The Sind conquest took place under the leadership of Mohammed Bin Qasim; that Sind, then a piece of India onwards, the Indus River was defeated (the Indus River is now partially in Pakistan). Mohammed bin Qasim was the young leader who led the military for the Sind Conquest at the age of 17. 

Even today, the Sind conquest is known to be one of the most historical marvels of the world. It created a pathway for the spread of Islamic civilization in South Asia and majorly Muslim groups in the nation of India. Now, the Sind has achieved the nickname of “Bab-e-Islam”, which means “the gateway of Islam” or “the gateway of Islamic civilization”. 

Umayyad period

After the Sind conquest, the Caliphate declared Sind a province. All the Governors were appointed as administrators. The Governor has a responsibility of protecting the country from external attacks. It takes care of the whole management of the country and guides soldiers on how to react to a particular situation. The judiciary of the Governor also consists of various neighbourhood regions like Multan, Turan, and Makran. After that, any Hindu territory which Mohammed Bin Qasim defeated was added to the area, where he regulated all the functions. 

Abbasid period

During the times of the Abbasid period, when the Abbasid revolution took place. The anti-Umayyad regulated sind. After defeating the Umayyad, the Abbasid left control over Mansur. But after that, they sent the new dynasty, which Musa ibn Ka’b al-Tamimi sent. Musa ibn Ka’b al-Tamimi then started struggling for Mansur and Sind rule. After that, he gained Victory in defeating the rulers of measure and Sind and established his control. After that, Sind started regulating under the Abbasid. Mansur ibn Jumhur al-Kalbi was the first governor of the Abbasid period. He initially took Sind as an anti-Umayyad rebel, but the public accepted him as a governor. He remained in this post from 747 to 751.

The Sind conquest was not made successful by the military Arab in just a few attempts. Still, the Sind conquest was made successful after numerous various attempts by the military of the Arabs. The military leader, Mohammad Bin Qasim, played a significant role in the conquest of Sind. The Sind conquest has been admitted to the history book of the world as one of the most historical marvels.
