International Fleet Review 2019

A fleet review, also known as naval review, is an event where several ships gather together from a particular Navy and paraded. The last review of 2019 will be discussed briefly.

The basic meaning of a fleet of ships is a large group of ships operating as a single unit. Not only ships but it can be planes and other transportation options. A naval fleet means the largest group of warships owned by a country.

As we read above, the fleet review on the naval review is an event where a gathering of ships takes place and its parade and is reviewed by the head of the state or other major military dignified position holders or other official civilians. There is the head of the state or other dignified military position holders who review the parade. International fleet reviews don’t stick to just parading ships but can also include warships and other participants from multiple navies.

The location for the international fleet review of 2019 was Qingdao in China.

OBJECTIVE

  •   The main objective of the international fleet review 2019 was being organized by China as it was a 70th-anniversary celebration of China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN)
  •   It was held on April 23rd, 2019
  •   China which is focusing on and expanding its Navy force is undergoing many strategic discussions and whose presence can be seen around the world mainly wanted to deploy all the modern ships including its aircraft carrier through the fleet review

INDIA

  •   The Indian Navy in the fleet international flute review 2019 was represented by INS Kolkata which is a stealth guided-missile destroyer built indigenously and the tanker INS Shakti which is a full supporting ship for the fleet
  •   India participated in the international fleett review by the Indian Navy to portray its main focus of deepening the military-to-military relations with China
  •   After Qingdao, Busan in South Korea was the next port for the Indian ships where they were to a participate in the ADMM plus Maritime exercise

PAKISTAN

  •   No Pakistan navy ships were going to participate in the international field 2019
  •   Being an ally of China, Pakistan is a supporter of Chinese weapons systems and its biggest procurer too
  •   And China at present is building some very advanced naval fighting and transportation careers for Pakistan

ABOUT INS KOLKATA AND INS SHAKTI

INS KOLKATA

The INS Kolkata and INS Shakti arrived at Qingdao, China between 21st to 26 April in the international fleet review as it was a 70th-anniversary celebration of China’s people liberation army (PLA) Navy. This was one of the biggest reasons for INS Kolkata and INS Shakti to be in news at that time.

INS Shakti is a replenishment ship, another largest tanker of India that displaces around 27000 terms of water and can carry 15000 times of liquid and more than 500 times of solid, including any ammunition.

And the other hand INS Kolkata is a self-equipped state of the art weapon servicing naval welfare ship that addresses threats in all dimensions and senses them

MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE INTERNATIONAL FLEET REVIEW OF 2019

The international fleet review also known as (IFR) is a parade of aircraft submarines and naval ships why different nations or countries with a motive of promoting and strengthening by lending their cooperating hands towards each other and showing their organizational capabilities to different countries.

It also serves as a platform or a stage for all the world navies to come forward and showcase their power in contacting to Navy force in an international crowd.

INTERNATIONAL FLEET REVIEW 2016

The international free tribute 2016 was reviewed by the president of India.

It was held between 4th to 8 February 2016 and the government of India was the pattern face for the same. Organized by the Indian Navy and 71 ships from the Indian Navy and 24 ships and delegations from other 50 a Navy participated in the international fleet review of 2016. The international fleet review conducted by the Indian Navy was the international free review of the year 2016 which is the main aim of improving relations with other countries with naval powers. It aimed at strengthening inter-country relations. The first fleet review reviewed by the Indian Navy was conducted in 1953 by president Rajendra Prasad. Out of all the fleet reviews conducted by the Indian Navy, two were internationally based fleet reviews that were held in 2001 and 2016 respectively 

IN COMMONWEALTH REALMS

International free reviews in the commonwealth realm are viewed under the monarch or the representative of another particular state or country which is an up practice that dates back to the 15th century.

There are mainly four countries that lie under the commonwealth realm, such as Australia Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

In Australia, there is a long-dated history of reviews, and the last fleet review to place in October 2013 in that country. Other than the fleet review in October 2013, there are many other reviews also held in Australia such as the port Philips royal review of 1921 which was reviewed by Prince Edward and the Prince of Wales. Then is the royal Australian Navy’s 25th birthday review of 1936, the 75th fleet review of 1986, etc.
