The major routes are served through the means of a broad gauge.

These can include Rajdhani Express which is a rail service for passengers and helps in connecting India’s capital to the capital of diverse states of the country. Another type can be Shatabdi Express which refers to the series of fast trains that are operated by Indian Railways. Another type can be the Gatimaan Express which is popularly known as the first train in India with a semi-high speed. Another type can include Duronto Express which is a very fast express train running between New Delhi and Sealdah. Another type can be that of Tejas Express which can be described as the initial corporate train having facilities such as that of a flight. Another type can be that of the Metro Train which is popularly called the Rapid Train Service. Further, the mail train is another type of rail service. One more type is that of mountain railways which refers to the railway lines passing through the Indian mountains. Thus, these are just a few of the multiple types of railway transport. 

It can be said that the Indian railway system is a very busy as well as popular means of transport connecting diverse states, cities, regions etcetera. To understand the examples of the prominent railway transport we shall name a few of the diverse kinds of trains that are functioned by the Indian Railways. These may include Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express, Humsafar Express, Vande Bharat Express, Vivek Express, Mail, Luxury Trains etc. Thus, these can be called a few of the several examples of prominent railway transport.
