The ANGAN International Conference, which was organised by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Government of India, in collaboration with GIZ, successfully spread the message that Energy Conservation is the foundation for Energy Independence/ Energy saved is energy generated. The conference aims to provide a forum for discussion on organisational interdependence, systemic sustainability, and resource efficiency feedback loops. It also intends to reduce the cost of improving efficiency in high-energy-consumption areas. It will also create impetus for addressing the difficulties that stakeholders confront. In detail below, let us know about the new habitats and the green building development.
ANGAN
The conference will cover a variety of alternative options and technologies in energy-efficient commercial and residential building design and construction. It will recommend effective strategies and programmes for executing the given proposals and concepts. The construction and building energy efficiency efforts are expected to cost Rs.2000 billion. The proposal’s adoption would save 388 billion units of power over the following 10 years, with a payback time of around two years.
As we all know, time isn’t the most important factor; time is the most important factor. Therefore the best we can do is converse and conserve. In September, the three-day International Conference was held at The Lalit Hotel in New Delhi, with over 1000 attendees from India and over 100 green national and international experts in attendance.
Low-carbon future New Habitats
Following the Paris Agreement, India committed to a low-carbon future, promising to usher in a revolution with green building development, passive house design, zero-energy vision, the new habitats and low-carbon activities in the next years. As a result, a platform for concentrated conversation with specific case studies and wiser and more efficient building techniques served as a vehicle for information transfer.
An international green event that functioned as a forum for collaboration between organisations, systematic sustainability management, and resource efficiency feedback loops. To debate and discuss, eminent speakers and dignitaries gathered around the world. Several concerns and programmes aimed at improving building energy efficiency worldwide were discussed.
International Conferences, Events
The event included representatives from central and state governments, technology suppliers and experts, practising architects, and university students. The debate centred on numerous alternative solutions and technology in energy-efficient commercial and residential building design and construction.
An expo was held as part of the event. Over 40 exhibitors displayed the newest advancements in the Building Energy Efficiency Sector, including Energy Efficient Building Material Suppliers, Technology Suppliers, Research Institutions, and Universities. In the middle of the heated arguments and discussions, the event’s climax – a cultural night based on Indian heritage – was held to rekindle the spirit of the occasion.
This international conference, the first of its kind, is a stepping stone toward a revolution that will change the built environment in India. ANGAN 2019 made a good first impression. The overwhelmingly positive reaction from all participants motivated us to return—ANGAN 2021–to involve more and more professionals who can be true change agents.
The Bureau of Energy Efficiency’s vision for India’s construction sector contains several milestones. Such a platform has aided in speeding up development and activities toward the ultimate aim of an energy-efficient India.
Important Points
- This three-day seminar brought together policymakers from 16 nations.
- Different alternative solutions and technologies in energy-efficient commercial and residential building design and construction have been considered, as well as effective means of implementing the same through laws and programmes.
- It is predicted that an Rs. 2000 billion investment in building energy efficiency initiatives will result in a total savings of 388 billion units of electricity over the following 10 years, with a payback time of around two years.
- The event aims to address stakeholders’ concerns and enhance efficiency in high-energy-consumption sectors like buildings, which have become a key part of our energy strategy.
- To raise public awareness and understanding about cutting-edge technology, financial help, suppliers, and the procurement of energy-efficient equipment, among other things.
As part of the plan of the ANGAN event, stakeholders from the energy efficiency sector showcase technologies in the areas of insulation Fenestration shooting, Glass windows, AAC block, and other technologies for energy efficiency in buildings.
Conclusion
An expo on Energy Efficient Building Material Suppliers, Technology Suppliers, Research Institutions, and Universities highlighted the newest developments in the Building Energy Efficiency Sector as part of the event. Delegates will have the opportunity to better connect with building professionals and policymakers to understand economically feasible commercial and residential building development solutions. Apart from energy conservation, other resources such as water and other materials that may be conserved in the construction industry are also highlighted. The article has provided a detailed study about the ANGAN, new habitats and the green building development in detail.
