Fires are regarded as the most deadly natural catastrophes because they can spread outward and become uncontrollable over a long period of time and in space. They typically result in significant material and human harm.

• India has been a victim of fire incidents numerous times across all states. The urban areas, especially the towns and cities, and factories and industries are incredibly vulnerable to fire. The highest number of deaths in the country is due to fire hazards. Around 83,872 fire incidents have been recorded in India from 2014 to 2018 (Ministry of Home Affairs; Department of States; National Crime Records Bureau, 2018).
• India, as a nation, has witnessed a large number of deaths due to fire hazards over the last few years. The Accidental Deaths and Suicides in India (ADSI) Report of 2018 reveals that 13,099 cases of reported fire accidents caused 12,748 deaths and injuries to 777 persons.

Given that burn injuries frequently significantly reduce a victim’s quality of life. The injury  will typically be larger due to emotional damages if the scars left by second and third degree burns are obvious. Second and third degree burns frequently leave horrific scars. Burn injuries can also cause a person to lose movement or experience persistent discomfort, both of which call for continuing physical therapy.
