History of Nargona Palace

The Nargona Palace was constructed by Raja Darbhanga. The members of the Darbhanga kingdom were from the Brahmin community. It was the last Royal Brahmin Palace, as Brahmins were the only ones who ruled that area.

Akbar the great ruled Darbhanga for a short period. He later handed over the kingdom administration to the Brahmins in the early 16th century and named the region Darbhanga.
