The Indian Government used digital technology to develop an application to combat the Coronavirus pandemic. This application was named Aarogya Setu App. Designed for mobile users, the application is easy to install and use. The App was designed to identify the nearby people who are suffering from COVID-19. The main aim of the Aarogya Setu app is to check if you have been in proximity of any COVID-19-positive patient. Moreover, several other features, such as helplines, nearby hospitals, etc., are part of this App. Aarogya Setu App is available for all smartphone users, IOS or Android.

The App is available for Android users and IOS users and can be downloaded from the App Store/Play store.
Android users can download the App in a few simple steps:
- Visit the Google Playstore App
- Go to the search bar and type out “Aarogya Setu App”, and search
- Now click the “Download” button
- Wait for the installation of the Aarogya Setu App on your Android phone
For IOS users:
- Visit the IOS App Store
- Go to the search bar and type out “Aarogya Setu App”, and click search
- Now “Download” the App on your IOS phones
- Wait for the Aarogya Setu App to be installed
Aarogya Setu App login
To initiate the Aarogya Setu login, follow the steps given below:
- Open the AAROGYA SETU App on your phone.
- Choose your language from among the twelve languages available on the App and select “NEXT”.
- For Aarogya Setu Registration, select “Register Now”.
- You will be asked to “AGREE” to the Terms and Conditions.
- When you have provided the required information like your details, location, Bluetooth access, etc., move on to the next step.
- Feed your phone number and click “SUBMIT”.
- Copy the OTP sent on the number you entered into the App and enter the OTP manually on the App.
- Fill in the required details like “Travel History, Name, Age, and Gender.”
- Now answer the “Self-Assessment” test correctly.
- Finally, you will be transported to the “HOME” page of the Aarogya Setu app.

COVID-19 Updates
The Aarogya Setu App keeps its users updated about the active coronavirus cases and other relevant updates. To see the Novel Coronavirus Updates, one has to go to the right top corner of the App’s homepage. The Aarogya Setu app shows the data of confirmed cases, the total recovered cases, and the deceased cases in different states.
E-Pass
During the lockdown and peaks of the pandemic, an e-pass was required to commute or travel. E-pass can be applied for from the Aaroya Setu App. The pass contains the six-digit alphanumeric number. The pass contains all your details, like name, occupation, workplace/organisation, location, etc.
Helpline
The Aarogya Setu helpline can be accessed by the “CALL HELPLINE” button on the Aarogya Setu app’s homepage. However, the helpline can also be reached on 1075.
Donation
The Aarogya Setu donation is also a part of the App. The App is a medium to donate to the PM Cares Fund, which is a fund used to assist in the COVID-19 situation. The donation can be made by following the listed steps:
- Go to the “PM Cares Fund” on the App
- Click on “Donate via PM Cares Website”
- You will be taken to the interface where donations for COVID-19 relief can be made.
Application Sharing and Language
The Aarogya Setu App can be shared using the “Share Button” present on the homepage’s left corner. The App is available in twelve different languages. You can choose a suitable language by going to the language change option of the Aarogya Setu App.
