Students need to appear in and clear the Joint Entrance Test (JEE) to get admission to some of the best engineering institutes in the country. JEE is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) every year. JEE is further divided into two exams – Main and Advanced. While Main gets you admission into NITs, IIITs and other reputable institutes, candidates who want to get into IITs have to clear Main as well as Advanced. The agency releases a cut-off with a minimum qualifying rank for students to appear in Advanced. Only those who score the minimum marks in Main are eligible to appear in Advanced.
JEE Main is the stepping stone for getting into IITs and other premier institutes. Therefore, students should have a well-planned exam preparation strategy. Solving previous years’ question papers could be of great help. These make the aspirant understand the pattern of the paper and analyse their weak areas.
