The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) on September 6, 2020. The examination timing was 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. According to most students who appeared for the exam, the difficulty level of the examination was moderate. The examination included three subjects – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
There were a total of 75 questions in the paper which was equally divided into three sections of 25 questions each. When speaking individually of the subjects, the Mathematics section was slightly difficult. The questions asked in this section were lengthy. The questions pertained to topics such as Calculus, Trigonometry, Algebra, etc. The difficulty level of the Physics section was moderate. The topics covered under this section were Current Electricity, Electrostatics, etc. A majority of questions were direct and formula-based. The Chemistry section was easier in comparison to Physics and Mathematics. The questions were mainly from the Physical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry sections. The paper consisted of both theory-based questions and Numerical answer-type problems.
The difficulty level of the JEE exam is not the same every year. Hence, candidates should practice previous years’ JEE exam papers in order to clear the JEE Main exam. Extensive practice will help students identify and work on their weak areas. Unacademy has made all the previous JEE question papers with solutions available on their official website.
