The JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is conducted for admissions of engineering aspirants into undergraduate courses in IIT (Indian Institutes of Technology), NIT (National Institutes of Technology), and other prominent colleges in India.
Earlier, there were two exams conducted, namely, IIT JEE and AIEEE. IIT JEE was conducted for admissions in IITs and AIEEE was for admissions in NITs and different engineering colleges. Now, there’s a single examination called the JEE.
There are two stages in JEE – Main and Advanced. Aspirants who want to get admission into IITs have to meet the minimum score set by the NTA for Main and then clear the Advanced exam.
