The Central Board of Secondary Education conducted the Joint Entrance Examination or JEE in the year 2013. The examination was conducted on 7th April 2013. The test was conducted in offline mode. The test was a paper and pen-based one. It was conducted in two different shifts. The first shift paper was conducted from 9 AM to 12 PM. The subjects that were covered in the JEE examination were Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
There were in total 90 questions. Every section consisted of 30 questions. The total marks of the paper was 360 marks. Every section was of 120 marks. The candidate got 4 marks for every correct answer. There was a negative marking of ¼ marks for every wrong answer.
As per the students who appeared in the exam, the Chemistry section was easier than Physics and Mathematics. There were both factual and calculation-based questions. The difficulty level of the Physics section was slightly higher. There were lengthy calculation based questions in this section. However, Mathematics was easier too. The questions were majorly from LPP, Logic, Statistics, Determinants, Matrices, Vectors, 3D Geometry, Algebra, Calculus, and Trigonometry section.
Candidates should understand the test structure and scoring method to pass the examination. Applicants must practice sample papers as well as previous years’ test papers daily to develop a concept for the question paper.
