Chanthol, the Cambodian minister said the 15-year project has an estimated cost 1.5 billion U.S. dollars. The 15-meter deepwater Kampot port will be able to accommodate vessels: weighing up to 100,000 tons and capable of handling 300,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in 2025 and up to 600,000 TEUs in 2030, Xinhua reported.
