IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern

In order to qualify for the post of Clerical cadre exam, candidates need to prepare thoroughly for all the stages of the examination. The two stages of examination include the Preliminary round and the Main exam. Candidates must be aware of the exam pattern followed by the institution that conducts the exam.

Candidates must pass each of the three tests by achieving IBPS-determined cut-off marks.

A sufficient number of candidates in each category will be shortlisted in each category, as determined by IBPS based on requirements for the Online Main Exam.

IBPS has the right to alter the examination structure, which will be communicated via its website. Candidates will be able to download an Information Handout along with their call letters from the authorised IBPS website, which will contain further specific information about the test.

*  The medium of the exam include languages such as English, Hindi, Telugu, Assamese, Gujarati, Marathi, Konkani, Urdu, Kannada, Malayalam, Manipuri, Odia, Tamil, Punjabi, and Bengali, which depends upon the state of the candidate mentioned in the application form. 

Note: 

  • The objective questions carry negative marking
  • For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks assigned to the question will be deducted as a penalty
  • There will be no penalty for blank answers
