Mam , please clarify In Tamil Nadu 12th book first governor general of warran Hastings (1772-1785) but in your slides 1773 -1785 which one is correct ?

The post of Governor General of Bengal was created after the Regulating Act of 1773. Before that it was Governors for all three presidencies. Thus, Warran Hastings was Governor of Bengal in 1772 however when Regulating Act of 1773 came, he became Governor General of Bengal.
