Welcome Prachi
Sir I graduated in 2017. I've been preparing for UPSC CSE from past one year. I wanna apply for job but as there is 1 year gap how to cover it up because I think telling them that Im preparing for UPSC won't work. So please suggest what should I say. Thanks a lot :)
Good evening, Mr.chaturvedi I want spot light on the fact that if the interviewer had already gone through your resume in which you provided all your academics and extra curricular activities then why should we need to tell them about which already had been in your resume? What I want to suggest is that we need to tell interviewer those things which were not in there in your resume about yourself.
Is it beneficial to talk about ur entrepreneurship activities in the interview for job. I have done a course on entrepreneurship named as PMYUVA ..... so...?
Kindly review my answer sir and provide constructive suggestion :) I'm Prateek vijay currently studying in third year of mechanical engineering in NIT Jaipur. I belong to a small village Suroth located in Rajasthan. I've been a topper throughout my entire schooling period. I got 1st rank in District also in senior Secondary examination. After coming to college I started exploring different activities and skills as during my school time I hadn't done much of extracurricular activities apart from playing hockey and being a scout. I bacame an assistant editor in official media team of our college 'THE MAVERICKS' and sub - mentor in student mentorship program where I guided juniors in developing their skills. I also participated in different national competitions such as Indoasian solar vehicle championship and SAE BAJA. In Solar vehicle competition I along with my 24 teammates got second rank in India. In the end of second year I did a research project on prosthetic leg with students of Ohio and Colarado University (US) in Jaipur. In third year I have done one work from home internship at Unacademy platform where my main role was to get suitable educators for GATE exam on Unacademy. I'm always looking for challenging opportunities where I can learn something significant to enhance productivity.

if you don't mind me suggesting, i would like to mention some thingd that you could consider: 1) "I've been a topper throughtout my entire schooling period'-this doesn;t really say much about you, what you could replace it with would may be subjects you were interested in and rather mention your diligence and ficus rather that saying you were a topper 2) "I hadn't done much of extra-curricular activities"-why mention things that you haven't done, rather elaborate on things that you did do during your college phase 3) if you are planning to explain to what you did as an asst. editor well and good (because different colleges define there PoRs differently) or else you could mention more about your mentoring activities, maybe the number of people and give a general about you may have dealt with academically, emotionally or psychologically straining situations for your mentees (well, least you could be prepared for a follo up on the same line) 4) Elaborate more on your projects/competitions, like mentioning professor guides, venue, competition pool, representation background, etc. 5) about you internship, instead of delving into what you did (leave it for a follow up) try to mention the skills you gained, or the impact it had on you like maybe on your perspective changes or something in those line
Sir, i have no any extra curricular activities... Does it affect so much. How to overcome this problem & how to introduce then?
