Firoz Shah Tughlaq was the longest reigning monarch of the Tughlaq Dynasty. He left many legacies which can be witnessed even today. The Sultanate under the Tughlaqs was constantly on decline after the death of Ghiyasuddin in 1325. Yet, Firoz tried to slow the process, however committing more blunders. The sultans after Firoz were utterly incapable to earn any mention. Finally Timur invaded and decapitated the remains of the realms of this dynasty.
