Embryo develops at the micropylar end of embryo sac. Embryogeny is the initial stage if embryo development which is same for both dicot and monocot. Monocot embryo has single coteledon while the dicot embryo contains two coteledon. Coleorrhiza and coleoptile are two additional structures seen in monocots which are not present in dicots.
