cold currents... one of the reason
There are various reasons behind that 1)cold ocean currents - Less temperature =less moisture =less evaporation =less condensation =less Rainfall 2)Easterly winds- These wind causes rainfall on the eastern side of territory..So unable to retain moisture nd carry forward moist carring winds..
3) Virage is also a cause for that...which means Reevaporation of rain drops before reaching the ground due to access heat
mam could u please tell me from which book u have refer this line " chotanagpur plateau is separated from ranchi plateau by river subarnarekha"
yes...me 2 facing the same problem... arpita mam, do not provide information just by refererring map and guessing information from that... i think u have referred chotanagpur plateau and ranchi plateau on physical map and misleaded that "Chotanagpur Plateau is separate from Ranchi Plateau" But the fact is - Ranchi Plateau is just southern region of Chotanagpur Plateau" m i r8 mam ?

dear mam..........chotanagpur plateau comprises are hazaribagh plateau( northern part) & ranchi plateau( southern part)........ i.e. ranchi plateau is part of chotanagpur plateau. instead of saying that " chotanagpur plateau is separated from ranchi plateau by river subarnarekha".......... i think we should say "hazaribagh plateau( a part of chotanagpur plateau) is separated from ranchi plateau"
