One of the most controversial characters of Indian history, Alauddin Khilji came to throne in1296. He changed the politics of India forever within just two decades of his reign. His invasions on the south had eternal effect upon the politics of the nation. He also repulsed the mighty and terrorizing Mongols numerous times. Apart from his military feats, his strong administration and taxation reforms are highly appreciable. On the other hand, he will remain a villain for the Hindus, due to his bigotry and destruction of temples.
