  • It is a one-of-a-kind regional inter-governmental organisation that provides electronic media development services to the countries of United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP).
  • It was Established in 1977 under the the auspices United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO). 
  • Objective: To achieve a vibrant and cohesive electronic media environment in the Asia-Pacific region through policy and resource development.
  • Members: 26 countries 
  • Secretariat: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
