About NeSDA (National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment ):

• Released by: DARPG ( Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances)
• Purpose: to benchmark the delivery of e-services across states/UTs and central ministries, covering seven key sectors.
• Sectors Covered: Include Local Governance, Social Welfare, Finance, Labour & Employment, Education, Environment, and Tourism.

Key Points of 2023 Report:

• Showcases Jammu & Kashmir’s leadership in e-governance, with more than 1000  e-services mapped on the NeSDA Way Forward Dashboard.
•  Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, and Kerala are also leading in e-service provision.
• Local Governance & Utility Services dominate e-service offerings, with tourism achieving the highest saturation for mandatory e-services in 23 out of 36 states/UTs.
• Highlights regional differences in e-service delivery, underscoring the need for focused improvements.
