About SPACE:
- It is set up by the Naval Physical & Oceanographic Laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
- It will serve as a world-class center for testing and assessment of sonar systems.
- It will serve the needs of sample analysis and data processing ushering in a new era of research capabilities for anti-submarine warfare.
- It will be deployed by the Indian Navy on a variety of platforms, such as helicopters, ships, and submarines.
