International organisation refers to the organisation built by official political unity among the members who are having the rank of national treaties. International organisations are there also to maintain peace and harmony among countries. The existence of international organisations gets recognition by law. International organisations can also be defined as organisations that have members from different countries. These organisations provide monetary support to their member countries so that they can develop or can keep themselves updated.
An international organisation can be categorised into 2 parts:
International government organisations are government-owned organisations that come into existence only when there is an official contract made by the government. Examples of IGOs are the United Nations (UNO), The World Trade Organisation (WTO).
As government organisations are government-based organisations. Nongovernmental organisations consist of only individuals, they do not contain any form of involvement of government and businesses. They do play a major role in the politics of nations. Examples of NGOs are BINGO- Business Oriented Nongovernmental organisation, RINGO- Religious Oriented Nongovernmental Organisation.
Here is the International Organisations list and International Organisations headquarters given:
Let’s take an example of a recent issue which was the global pandemic Covid-19. During covid-19 every country was under strict lockdown and no one was able to do business and earn money, as we know every country requires money for smooth functioning so The World Bank helped with an amount of more than $160 million to finance the countries to take vaccines, helping the educational area, keeping the core tight of the healthcare systems etc.
The World Health Organisation helped millions of people or many countries and it trained their staff on how to properly take care of the patients, different tests that should be done for finding out covid-19 etc. It also led an initiative in which they helped many developing countries and gave them the covid-19 vaccines for free which helped many countries as they were unable to get the vaccines.
International organisations have proved their power because of which they hold a special role. They have shown us how good they are at resolving issues among countries, but there is a disadvantage as international Organisations only resolve the problems or conflicts of their member countries. One of the best organisations that is ranked the highest for solving the problems and conflicts between or among countries is the European Union, it solves very effectively but the same problem is only, that it solves the problems of its member countries.
