In this video, I have covered the Weighted Resistor Type DAC, we derived the output voltage of the circuit and discussed about the various advantages and disadvantages of weighted resistor type DAC. Guys from this lecture onwards please note that while discussing different types of DAC, whenever we are talking about resolution, It is not actually the resolution of DAC rather we have defined it by excluding the gain term out of it because it helps us to write down the output voltage conveniently given the gain of the circuit. Although I have referred to it as the resolution of DAC but that is not exactly what I mean. Ideally for DACs that we have discussed in this course, the resolution of DAC = Resolution x Gain (as mentioned in slides) Also in this slide, make a slight correction. In the output voltage expression, It is Vr/2 power (n-1) and not Vr/(2 power n) - 1.
