In this lecture, we discussed about the Non-Inverting and Inverting R-2R Ladder Type DAC. We learned the output analog voltage expressions for R-2R Ladder type DAC and various advantages and disadvantages of it. Also please note that while discussing DAC, whenever we are talking about resolution, It is not actually the resolution of DAC rather we have defined it by excluding the gain term out of it because it helps us to write down the output voltage conveniently given the gain of the circuit. Although I have referred to it as the resolution of DAC but that is not exactly what I mean. Ideally for DACs that we have discussed in this course, the resolution of DAC = Resolution x Gain (as mentioned in slides)
