In this lesson I have given a brief introduction about process of transcription. Also I have described transcriptional unit which consists of three parts that is 1 promoter 2 structural gene 3 terminator. Now structural gene have two strands that is template strand and coding strand. We must know the direction of both strands . Also the enzyme useful in process of transcription is RNA polymerase. Which starts from promoter region from where the whole process begins.
