In this lesson we have studied about biochemical nature of the substance which transferred from virulent strain of bacteria to non virulent strain and that causes non virulent bacteria to become virulent. This experiment was conducted by Avery , McLeod and McCarthy . In year 1944. They used three enzymes RNAase, Proteases and DNAase . With the help of these three enzymes they are able to find that actually DNA is the genetic material and it was transferred from virulent strain to non virulent strain of bacteria. Thank you
