Stretched wire potentiometer is an ideal voltmeter. It consists of 2-5 meter long wire, a cell and variable resistance these are internal parts of potentiometer. By vary jockey of galvanometer on wire we set potentiometer in Azeri deflection conditions. Then at this balanced situation we can able to measure potential difference between thr points in an external circuit. Details calculation and basic concepts are discussed in this lesson.
