Concept of solid angle, measurement of solid angle. Plane angle is the ratio of length by radius. Solid angle is the ratio of area by square of perpendicular distance . I.e plane angle θ= l/r and solid angle Ω= S/r2. Radian is the unit of plane angle and steradian is the unit of solid angle.
