  5. National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS) . The scheme will integrate two ongoing centrally sponsored schemes Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) and Senior Citizen Health Insurance Scheme (SCHIS) This will cover over 10 crore poor and vulnerable families based on Socio- Economic Caste Census 2011. This would translate to around 50 crore beneficiaries. . The scheme provides coverage of upto Rs. 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization. The NHPS needs a buy-in from the States, which have to contribute 40% of the funding.

  6. EKLAVYA SCHOOL The government has announced the setting up of Ekalavya Residential Schools to provide education to tribals in their local environment. . Target-Ekalavya schools in every block with more than 50% ST population and at least 20,000 tribal persons by 2022. Modal - Ekalavya schools will be on a par with Navodaya Vidyalayas. Objective It will have special facilities for preserving local art and culture, besides providing training in sports and skill development.
