Bhaiyaa,,, In the reduction of acidic medium, Can we take Sodium as a metal instead of Sn/Fe/Zn..??
sir.. one small confusion.. in the 2nd slide, how the cation radical got stabilised.. i mean in the next step when O donated its electron pair then during that step how did the positive charge on Nitrogen got vanished and what happened to the radical.. from where that extra electron came? Was it from the metal only?? If so then can't we simultaneously provide two electrons to Nitrogen rather than making the radical?

I think he missed a step of adding an electron to the radical cation before attacking -OH with H20
