In this lesson we have discussed about process of Digestion inside mouth. It is having salivary amylase enzyme which digest starch and convert it to maltose. Optimum pH required by enzyme salivary amylase is 6.8 . After Digestion in stomach food moves down the esophagus by peristaltic movement and it reaches stomach.
