Introduction to Digestive System (in Hindi)

In this lesson we have discussed about elimentary canal .
It is long muscular coiled tube that is extended from mouth to anus and we call it elimentary canal .
It begins with mouth , than comes oral cavaty , pharynx, oesophagus stomach,small intestine and large intestine and anus .
Than we have discussed about mouth and oral cavaty.
After that we have taken the topic tongue and we have seen its different functions for Digestion.

Elementary Canal (in Hindi)

In this lesson we have discussed about teeth .
Basically it helps in process of mastication that is braking larger food particles into smaller one and make the process of Digestion easy.

Human dentition is called as thecodont,heterodont and diphyodont type .
After that we have seen different types of teeth present in our jaw that is incisors,canines, premolar and molar .

In this lesson we have studied about stomach.
It is continuation of esophagus.
It is guarded by lower esophageal sphincter.
Three parts of stomach -
Fundus 
Cardiac
Pylorus
Stomach then opens into duodenum.
We have also seen physiological functions of stomach.

In this lesson I have discussed about small intestine and large intestine.
Small intestine is further devided to three parts 
Duodenum 
Jejunum
Illeum .
After that we have seen about large intestine.
It is again have many parts 
Caecum
Colon
Rectum 
And finally the faecal matter excreted outside through anus.

In this lesson we have seen about histology of our elimentary canal.
It is basically made up of four layers 
Serosa
Muscularis 
Sub mucosa
Mucosa .
They have different functions individually.

In this lesson I have discussed about the villi.
Basically villi are main reason for effective absorption of food they increase the surface area by many fold and that makes absorption a very efficient process.
Villi have numerous number of microvilli on their surface around 2000-3000 in number.
It have big lymph vesse called lacteal.

Salivary glands

In this lesson I have discussed about pancreas .
It is unique gland as it have both endocrine and exocrine function.
It is second largest gland of human body .
The endocrinal cells are called as islets of Langerhans cells.
They have 3 types of cells 
Alpha cell release glucagon
Beta cells - insulin 
Delta cells - somatostatin.
Insulin hormone deficiency lead to a pathological disease called as diabetes mellitus.

Pancreas

In this lesson we have discussed about liver .
It is largest gland of human body.
It weighs around 1.2 to 1.5 kg.
It is having two lobes which are further devided to form many hepatic lobules .
Each hepatic lobules are covered by a capsule that is called as Glisson's capsule .
There are two types of cells in each lobules hepatic cells and Kupffer cells.

In this lesson we have discussed about process of Digestion inside mouth.
It is having salivary amylase enzyme which digest starch and convert it to maltose.
Optimum pH required by enzyme salivary amylase is 6.8 .
After Digestion in stomach food moves down the esophagus by peristaltic movement and it reaches stomach.
In next lesson we will learn about Digestion in stomach.

In this lesson I have discussed about Digestion of food in stomach.
Also I have discussed about presence of four type of cells inside stomach .
And different hormones released by them .
Basically pH of hydrochloric acid secreted in stomach is 1.5 - 2.
And mucus released by goblet cells prevent stomach from effect of gastric acid.

In this lesson I have discussed about Digestion of food in small intestine.
Basically there is secretion of many juices in small intestine.
One is pancreatic juice and other is small intestinal juice that is called as succus entericus.
There is also secretion of Brunner's glands.
And crypts of LIBERKUHN.
After Digestion in small intestine food is called as chyle .
Chyle will undergo process of absorption.

In this lesson I have discussed about Digestion of food in small intestine.
It is acted by many enzymes and finally food is converted to simpler form which can easily absorbed.
Undigested food moves further forward and it is thrown out of body.
By process of defecation.

Digestion in large intestine

In this lesson I have discussed about absorption of digested food .
Absorption takes place in all parts of elimentary canal but the major chunk of absorption takes place in small intestine.
Particularly ileum of small intestine is the part of elimentary canal where maximum absorption takes place.
Undigested food get excreted in form of fecal matter.
