In this lesson, Ayussh Sanghi discusses furthermore schemes of the ministry of agriculture. The foremost scheme which is highlighted in this lesson is National Crop Insurance Programme (NCIP). He explains how this scheme is modified from the three schemes, i.e. modified national agricultural insurance scheme (MNAIS), weather based crop insurance scheme, and coconut palm insurance scheme. He then sheds light on the functioning component of NCIP i.e the modified national agricultural insurance scheme (MNAIS), here, he describes the major objectives of this schemes. Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme (WBCIS), which is also a component of National Crop Insurance Programme is discussed next. He then shifts his focus on explaining the Coconut Palm Insurance Scheme (CPIS). Lastly, he elucidates how MNAIS got replaced by Pradhan Mantri Fasl Bima Yojana in June 2016.
