Lesson 17 of 18 • 6 upvotes • 14:52mins
This lesson covers a brief description of important events of Medieval Period. Due to the time limit of 15 minutes, the last two slides could not be covered properly. So the students are advised to pause the last two slides for few minutes and read and watch them carefully. The second-last slide is a map retrieved from Wikipedia that shows the various European settlements in India along with the year of establishment. This map is quite a unique one and extremely helpful to develop an insight. The last slide is about the transitional events that existed between Medieval and Modern Periods, the most important of which are collapse of the Mughal Empire and rise of colonialism and colonial powers. How these colonial powers created empire in India is a matter to be discussed in the next course - Modern India. With this we end with the Medieval Period.
