Sir, I have a doubt that work is also done to overcome the spring force....why it is not consider on calculating the work done by gas?

Yes work is also done to overcome the spring force..and it is being considered in calculating the work done by gas....see carefully in the formula of work done that we have used in this numerical i.e 1/2(P1+P2)*(V2-V1).....now see how we calculated P2 i.,e pressure of gas at state2...P2 comprises spring force also. See the free body diagram of piston at state 2....hope your doubt is clear
