  • River Basin Integration: It successfully accomplishes the engineering diversion and structural integration of eight west-flowing rivers originating from the southwestern slopes of the Western Ghats: six in the Anamalai Hills and two in the plains.
  • Basin Classifications: The inter-basin transfer framework harnesses and re-routes excess surface water runoff draining from the major catchments of the Bharathapuzha, Chalakudy, and Periyar river basins.
