Wave is of two types mechanical and non mechanical light wave is non mechanical wave it doesn't require any material medium light wave mainly created by electric field and magnetic field so this is called electromagnetic wave speed of light wave is a Universal constant which is denoted by capital c is equal to 3 multiply 10 to the power 8 metre per second with respect to any object that is the basis of special theory of relativity.
