U
very........nice
sir I didn't understood the last question (alloys )
1. Ratio and Proportion made easy Problem Solving - Part 1

2. Question A number is divided into 4 parts such that 4 times the 1st part, 3 times the 2nd part, 6 times the 3rd part and 8 times the 4th part are all equal. In what ratio is the number divided?

3. Solution Let the 4 parts be a, b, c and d 438 4 3 6 8 Multiply all the terms with 24 and divide all the terms by k 6 8 43 a:b:c:d= : 242424 24 = 6 : 8 : 4 : 3 : :

4. Question The number of red balls and green balls in a bag are in the ratio 16:7. If there are 45 more red balls than green balls, find the number of green balls in the bag?

5. Solution . 16 parts are red balls and 7 parts are green balls . Hence difference is of 9 parts between red and green balls .These 9 parts represent 45 bals Hence 1 part represents -5 balls 45 9 hence 7 parts represent 5 X7 35 balls . Hence number of green balls in the bag 35

6. Question There are two alloys, A and B, of copper and zinc. The ratio (by weight) of copper and zinc in alloy A is 8:1 and that in alloy B is 2: 7. In what ratio should the 2 alloys be mixed so that the resultant mixture has copper and alloy in the ratio of 2:1

7. Solution 2 Alloy A Alloy B 2:1 Hence answer is 2 1 9 6 4 2 5 2:1

8. Thank You Arka Roy
