Mam, I am confused in ques no.4 . It's asking the percentage of girl passed class 10 against who are attending school. And we know the number of girls attending school out of 100 and number of girls passing class 10 out of 100. So we can find the percentage of girls passing class 10. Am I Right ???
Ma'am please add a course on questions of number of students in the given sections over a period of 3-4 years based on the number of students who pass or fail in the final exams.
Mem please suggest... How to solve data interpretation question..... In minimum periods.... And also suggest short tricks
if 1/10th of infants die at birth 90 remaining then 1/10 of 90 is 9 , so 9 children die at the age before 5 . so why you are taking it as 10 both times .... ?

This is becoz 1/10 of infants who die at birth and 1/10 of children who die before turning 5 are with respect to the total population of infants given in bihar and orissa.

3. Kev Skills Involved I Firstly, identify the variables in the data, the number of instances of the variables provided and the respective inter relationships amongst the variables II. Once the above information is figured out, it can be put into a tabular format to solve the given case. III. Now fill the table with direct data given. Now, with the basic framework, identify the solution to the question being asked. Only focus to solve only to get the answer ofthe question asked NOTE: Transfer any information derived in the process of solving one question onto the table so that it is available for all subsequent questions.

4. Caselet 1: Bihar and Orissa are the most deprived states of India. While they contain one fifth of India's population, they have almost one-third of India's illiterates. In 2013, only a small fraction of Orissa and Bihar's population was literate versus 85 percent of Kerala's population. More than two-thirds of the births are not attended by any medical facility, 1/10th of the infants born in Orissa and Bihar die in infancy and an equal number before reaching the age of five. Almost 90 percent of the under five deaths are due to malnutrition. From amongst the lucky kids who have survived for the first five years, 1/3rd of them work as child labourers and only half of the remaining are sent to school. Of those who attend classes, only 40 percent are able to reach STD V. In India, 30 percent of the children under 16 work as labourers. Orissa and Bihar contain 1/3rd of the child labourers in India Indian has the largest population of child labourers, which is 1/15th its total population In Orissa and Bihar, out of 100 children enrolled in school, 32 are girls. And out of 100 who attend STD X, only 10 girls. Only 38 out of 100 Indian women are literate versus 57 percent of males. Even in wealthy states such as Punjab, girls suffer from malnutrition seven times more than boys do. The total population of the country was 90 crore in 2013 and the ratio of male to female in Indian was 10 to 9
