  7. SiSO Serial in Serial Out Types OFSIP Registers (based on PISO Serial in Parallel Out l/O) Parallel in Serial Out PIPO Parallel in Parallel OUT


  8. In Serial Form, Bits are arranged , ONE at a Time. In Parallel Form, all Bits are available at the SAME Time. The Serial Form is called Temporal Code. The Parallel Form is called Special Code. Data can be changed from Temporal code to Special Code by using Shift Registers also vice versa. Universal Register accepts both serial and parallel input and gives serial and parallel Output.
