In this lesson I have tried to discuss about what a map is, different concepts related with it like scale etc. I have also mentioned about different types of maps which are used to study- for instance physical,political,thematic and general purpose maps. There is also a section on different components of a map like directions, distance, geographic coordinates, symbols, sketch and plan .
