लिग्नाइट कोयले के उत्पादन में भारत का सातवां स्थान है। यह कोयला भारत में सर्वाधिक तमिलनाडु राज्य में उत्पादित होता है। सर्वाधिक भण्डार भी तमिलनाडु राज्य में ही है। राजस्थान का लिग्नाइट भण्डार में दूसरा स्थान है। India is ranked seventh in the production of lignite coal. This coal is produced in the highest state of Tamil Nadu in India. The largest reservoir is also in the state of Tamil Nadu. Rajasthan is the second rank in lignite stock.
