Life cycle of bryophytes have 2 stages- one is haploid gametophytic stage and other one is diploid sporophytic stage. Gametophytic plant body produce gametes which on fertilisation forms sporophytic plant body while this sporophytic plant body produces spores which on germination forms gametophytic body.
