SIMPLE PRESENT Used to describe . Facts . Habits . truth That hold true in the present context Represented as: verb + s Example: eats, sleeps, plays, studies, etc.
SIMPLE PRESENT The sun rises in the east. He sleeps everyday after lunch. She always speaks the truth * This boy never disturbs the other students
SIMPLE PAST Used to describe . Facts . Habits . truth That held true in the past Represented as: verb ed Example: ate, slept, played, studied, etc.
SIMPLE PAST He slept everyday after lunch when he was a student. eShe spoke the truth When he was a child he always disturbed the class. . He always studied before the exam.
SIMPLE FUTURE Used to describe . Facts . Habits . truth That will hold true in the future Represented as: will +verb e Example: will eat, will sleep, will play, will study, etc.
PRESENT CONTINUOUS Used to describe Continuing ActionRuchroiwe e Represented as: is + verb + ing Example: is eating, is sleeping, is playing, is studying, etc. That is happening RIGHT NOW
PAST CONTINUOUS Used to describe That was happening in the past at a particular time or when another action took place Continuing Action Represented as: was + verb + ing Example: was eating, were sleeping, was playing, was studying, etc.
FUTURE CONTINUOUS * He will be sleeping when the match begins tonight. e Ram will be playing cricket for the next 3 hours
