equilibrium never attained in irreversible reaction bcoz these are always forward reactions, ie when once reactant get consumed into product then never we formed reactant from product

I don’t think there is any problem with the definition. There can be multiple definitions. The one I have given is absolutely correct.

and in rxn Mg+O------>MgO you have written Mg is in gaseous state. check in first video of equilibrium
